中印第十四轮军长级会谈联合新闻稿

1月12日，中印两军在莫尔多/楚舒勒会晤点中方一侧举行第十四轮军长级会谈，两国国防、外交部门代表参加。双方继续就推动中印边界西段实控线地区有关问题解决坦诚深入交换意见。双方同意遵照两国领导人指引，尽快解决剩余问题。双方表示，这将有助于恢复西段实控线地区的和平与安宁并促进双边关系。双方同意持续巩固已有成果，采取有效措施，保持西段地区包括冬季的局势安全稳定。双方同意继续保持军事和外交渠道沟通，通过对话协商尽快达成双方都能接受的解决方案。双方同意尽快举行下一轮军长级会谈。

The14throundIndia-ChinaCorpsCommanderLevelMeetingwasheldatChushul-MoldobordermeetingpointontheChinesesideon12thJanuary2022.Representativesfromthedefenseandforeignaffairsestablishmentsofthetwosideswerepresentatthemeeting.Thetwosideshadafrankandin-depthexchangeofviewsfortheresolutionoftherelevantissuesalongtheLACintheWesternSector.TheyagreedthatbothsidesshouldfollowtheguidanceprovidedbytheStateLeadersandworkfortheresolutionoftheremainingissuesattheearliest.ItwasnotedthatthiswouldhelpinrestorationofpeaceandtranquilityalongtheLACintheWesternSectorandenableprogressinbilateralrelations.ThetwosidesalsoagreedtoconsolidateonthepreviousoutcomesandtakeeffectiveeffortstomaintainthesecurityandstabilityonthegroundintheWesternSectorincludingduringwinter.Thetwosidesagreedtostayinclosecontactandmaintaindialogueviamilitaryanddiplomaticchannelsandworkoutamutuallyacceptableresolutionoftheremainingissuesattheearliest.InthiscontextitwasalsoagreedthatthenextroundoftheCommanders’talksshouldbeheldattheearliest.
